ABOUT
Hazen is a Vancouver Island–based artisan, rocking a guitar and singing a passionately creative blend of what he calls World Gypsy Rock.
His musical journey began in grade 2 when his mother taught him his first 2/4 picking pattern and a few chords. From that moment on, he practiced endlessly, developing a deeply expressive and authentic style.
In 2006, he wrote and recorded the song "Free", which aired on Vancouver, BC’s CFOX 99.3 FM Rockline. His debut professional studio album, "Within the Moment", was released on June 7, 2012, and featured the track "Divine", a Vancouver Island Music Awards nominee for Song of the Year. Hazen opened for John Fogerty twice—once in 2012 and again in 2014 at the Encana Events Centre in Dawson Creek, BC.
On March 1, 2016, he released "Thrive", an 11-track album packed with vibrant, hard-hitting, and genre-blending sounds. Since then, Hazen has continued to share his bold musical voice through three new singles: 2021 "Everywhere I Go." 2022 "You I Adore," and 2023 "With the Wind"
